Joie Onion Food Saver Stretch Pod, Silicone, Orange

Many neurodivergent people are sensitive to scents (me included), so it’s really important we do as much as we can to reduce the smells around us to give our brains a much-needed break from unnecessary processing. I do a lot of cooking, so I have lots of leftover fruits/veggies in my fridge, including onions.

My fridge is one of the quietest and most fabulous fridges I’ve ever had, I genuinely love it, but it loves to hold on to onion smells, so I had to find something that would be perfect at storing chopped or half onions in it. I did a lot of research, tried some that weren’t great, but then came across this fantastic onion saver.

It is easy to open and close, there’s no part of it that’s going to break with use, and it traps the onion smells inside of it. I find if I turn it upside down, I can put leftover chopped onion in the onion-shaped lid part then twist on the bottom and nothing leaks at all. It’s absolutely doing the job 100% and I love it.

There’s also a lemon saver that I use and that works perfectly too so I’ll add that to the list 🥳
