“Extraordinary stay. One of the best houses we have stayed in. The host was very caring and ensured that the stay was comfortable for us. The house was spacious and cosy. The whole house was clean and there were card and board games for us to play as well” – The Big Cosy

About Diverse Nation

At Diverse Nation, we create holiday and business accommodation where everyone feels at ease. Our properties are sensory-underloaded, designed using psychological and scientific principles to support neurodivergent guests, including those with autism, ADHD, OCD, sensory processing differences, and other neurodiverse experiences.

We ensure accessible colour contrasts, clear navigation, and predictable layouts to support an inclusive online and in-person experience.

Meet the Founder – Debra Presley

My Story

I’m Debra Presley, a Chartered Psychologist, Chartered Scientist, and proud neurodivergent mum of two. My own journey, navigating life as a neurodivergent individual while raising two neurodivergent children, opened my eyes to how stressful and overwhelming many travel experiences can be.

Hotels and holiday lets often meant bright or buzzing fluorescent lights, background noise, unpredictable layouts, and other triggers that turned what should have been a break into a challenge. I knew there had to be a better way.

Why I Created Diverse Nation

I founded Diverse Nation to reimagine accommodation. I wanted to create spaces designed with intention, backed by evidence, and shaped by lived experience, where every guest, whether neurodivergent or not, can feel safe, calm, and truly at home.

Each property uses scientifically grounded design principles to reduce sensory load, avoid triggers such as flickering or buzzing lighting, and add thoughtful touches that make all the difference.

World-First Innovation

Diverse Nation proudly offers the world’s first across-the-spectrum neurodivergent-friendly holiday and business lets. This is not just a claim, it’s a commitment rooted in decades of expertise in business psychology, sensory design, and transformational change.

One wears a black shirt and smiles slightly, while the other has a laptop on his lap and leans against the couch arm. In the bottom photo, the same woman is outdoors on a dirt path beside grassy fields, smiling at the camera while wearing a wide-brimmed woven hat and a grey top

We had a wonderful family weekend at the Big Cosy, the house had everything we needed for our Easter weekend! It really felt like a home away from home. Super accommodating to the little ones and our dog, highchair, travel cot, dog bowls etc.” – The Big Cosy

“We had a fantastic weekend stay here with a group of 8. The property is spacious, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with plenty of parking. The location is excellent, just a short walk to shops, pubs, and the tram stop for easy access to Nottingham. Everything was perfect, and we couldn’t fault a thing. We’d definitely stay again if we’re in the area!”
